"All the mechanism is ready and the ways are cleared, we have worked on it and research along paper works we have but unfortunately making laws and act is the work of public Representatives in parliament to declare the fishermen as labor"
These words said by KB faraq the founder of Gwadar educational welfare society (NGO)
Fishing is the main source of economy in the coastal belt of Balochistan, because of CPEC the fishermen of Gwadar are mentally Disturbed, they don't know what will happen tomorrow with their works, Mr Nasir Ali(a local fisherman) is complaining in these words
"We go to sea and return with empty hands, it happens so many times" when I asked him what does he know about 1st May the labor day, he replied with shaking his head nothing,
Advocate Saeed faiz thinks the fishermen are labor as others working in factories because they are producing the product in same way which is harder and tough, he said "fishing industry is one of large industry in the world, they are working in transportation too, they need to be constitutionally declared as labor" Mr faiz is not satisfied from the work out done regarding it, and he has same complain against the members of assemblies who aren't tickling this issue,
Nasir Ali said it's the work of fighting against death, he applied many where for jobs but he hadn't any recommendations that's why he could not get jobs, he replied me if he gets a job he never go for fishing,
According to KB firaq the case of fishermen is same as agriculture they grow, cut and distribute same here they are fishing and distributing the profit among them, there are still some issues which aren't completely clear, it needs to be explain first that how we can declared them as labor,
"We have gone to ESSI (employee social security institution) Quetta, Mr Qaiyoom kahkar was the labour secretary , we wanted to register the fishermen as labor, he sent us to commissioner who didn't know anything about fishing and sea, beside our explaining all the process of registering and issuing them cards they could define it themselves which is so easy after the eighteenth amendment because of this fishermen could get all those benefits which labors are getting at this time,"
He said that they have worked all but the MPA's and local representatives aren't looking interested in this side,
Another fisherman Mr Aziz Baloch said "we are always playing with our luck for two times food and playing for life with heavy Waves" he sadly explained that they have no facilities so many times they are suffering and unhealthy but compelled to go to sea because if he doesn't go all the family will suffer,
If fishermen will be declared as labor what's advantages they get? "If they will be declared as labor they get their fundamental rights, education facilities for their children, health facilities and many more" explained by Saeed faiz,
Mr Khuda Baksh learnt the fishing from his father "when I opened my eyes I am going to sea I never saw the school but I want to educate my children, I know it's not easy with my fishing but it has no future, no life" Khuda Baksh answered me that what's his education, he also doesn't know about 1st May and labor day,
On this labor day 1st May where we present a tribute to the labors of Chicago we should not forget these unidentified labors who are waiting for their identification today.
